America loves to hate movie villains! Many of the great movie actors have opted to play villainous roles in movies for that very reason. And we have had some really villainous villains to love to hate over the years. Of course, like all movie buffs, I have my own personal list of my favorite villains. My list won't match your list, but I'll bet that we both list a few of the same ones.
Agent Smith: Ohhhhhe was SO bad! In "The Matrix," he was in charge of harvesting human beings and basically converting them into batteries, and he really loved his work. He thought that nobody could stop him! What's not to hate?
Alex Forrest: In "Fatal Attraction," Glenn Close plays a woman who is obsessed with a married man (he started it). The lengths she goes to in order to keep the man she loves are hair-raising and the stuff that nightmares are made of. She kidnapped the man's daughter and boiled the family rabbit alive, for goodness sake!
Darth Vader: "Star Wars" was a heart-pounding movie and featured one of the all-time great movie villains in my opinion. Darth Vader did just about everything a supervillian can be expected to do and then some! He tortured people, choked people, chopped his own son's hand off, threatened to turn his daughter to the Dark Side…I did love to hate Darth Vader.
The Headless Horseman: The movie "Sleepy Hollow" was terrific all the way around and I really did love to hate the villain(s).
Leatherface: There's never been a more terrifying villain in the history of film! I can never pass a hardware store without the film "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" coming to mind! Total terror of a villain! Leatherface was a villain of epic proportions!
